An ESD protection device is intended to protect a circuit from an electrostatic discharge (ESD).

The muRata ESD protection devices can be provided as simple ultra-miniature devices, and as integrated noise filters. These devices can typically also be used to replace varistors, zener diodes (TVS), and suppressors.
